Hello, Im Faye and I am a jewellery designer and maker with a degree in Graphic Art & Illustration. In the past I have run galleries, sold my own paintings and supplied my art work to films and TV productions.
I took a jewellery course about 7 years ago and have been building my confidence, skills and tool collection ever since. My husband is a builder and my first earrings were cut from an old central heating water tank and I soldered them using his blowtorch!
My grandfather was a metal worker in the RAF and he left me many of his tools, including some Victorian steel letter punches and his tool roll that he made himself from a piece of khaki canvas he pinched from the side of a tent in the RAF during the war!
My art and design background has shaped the look of my jewellery, I love combining texture, pattern and shape and am constantly playing with ideas. I have always been interested with everything connected with Frida Kahlo and take inspiration from tribal and folk art.
